Jadeite and nephrite have different material stories
Both are called jade in everyday language, yet they are distinct minerals. Their appearance, toughness and color can vary. A jeweler should describe the material clearly so that the client understands what is being selected and how it should be cared for.

Translucency changes the value of color
A vivid green jade can be striking, but the way light moves through the stone is equally important. Icy material may look pale at first glance yet carry an exceptional inner glow. Lavender, white, yellow and deep green each create different moods.

Simple forms let jade speak
Cabochons, beads, tablets and carved forms are often more effective than heavily ornamented settings. A smooth bezel or a quiet gold frame can protect the material while letting its surface and color remain central.
Jade rewards close looking. Choose it through texture, light and emotional resonance rather than treating it as a substitute for a faceted green gemstone.
